-- Mayfair Garden, Paris's first Indian-Pakistani fine dining concept, has solidified its presence by relocating to 33 rue de Longchamp in the 8th arrondissement. Led by Michelin-trained Chef Noman Nawaz, the restaurant offers a fresh interpretation of how South Asian cuisine is experienced in one of the world's most renowned culinary destinations.
After initially opening on rue de Lauriston, Mayfair Garden spent two years building a loyal clientele before moving to its new, more central location in August 2024. The restaurant now offers an enhanced dining experience that combines flavorful Indian and Pakistani classics with a refined, modern presentation rooted in French culinary discipline.
Chef Nawaz Noman, who previously worked alongside Michelin-starred chefs Christian Le Squer and Yannick Alléno at Pavillon Ledoyen, brings extensive experience to the helm. He also trained in London under chef Yogesh Datta, deepening his mastery of South Asian techniques. At Mayfair Garden, he has curated a menu featuring signature dishes such as puff pastry biryani and slow-simmered butter chicken, executed precisely and presented in a fine dining format.
"Our goal has always been to present South Asian cuisine with organization, respect, and elegance," said Chef Nawaz. "The move to our new location allows us to do that with greater clarity in a space that reflects the values of our food."
The restaurant's reopening aligns with evolving patterns in French dining. According to a 2024 Euromonitor report, over 60 percent of millennial and Gen Z consumers in France express interest in globally inspired cuisine that balances authenticity with elevated presentation. France's food service market is also projected to exceed USD 82 billion by 2025, with continued growth driven by demand for high-quality international dining experiences.
Mayfair Garden has gained a strong following among international guests with approximately 30 to 40 percent of its clientele traveling from the Gulf region. This global appeal has encouraged the Nawaz brothers, Noman and Fahran, to begin planning an expansion into the U.S. market, starting with a Mediterranean Indian fusion concept in Dallas, Texas.
"Whether in Paris or Dallas, our commitment remains to prepare honest food with care and to serve it in a setting that honors where it comes from," added Chef Nawaz.
