Fix The World, formerly the World Transformation Movement, has rebranded to highlight the urgency of promoting biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. The international initiative emphasizes that understanding human behavior is essential to resolving global psychological and social crises.

-- Fix The World says escalating social and psychological crises point to the need for a deeper understanding of human behaviour.

International nonprofit “Fix The World has launched a renewed public awareness campaign around Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition following its recent rebranding from the World Transformation Movement.

The organization said the new name reflects the urgency of advancing Griffith’s work, which it argues addresses the psychological conflict underlying most of today’s global crises.

According to Fix The World, humanity’s worsening instability, from division and conflict to environmental and mental health crises, cannot be resolved without first understanding the human condition itself.

Among those who have praised Griffith’s work is Professor David Chivers, former president of the Primate Society of Great Britain, who described it as providing “the necessary breakthrough in the critical issue of needing to understand ourselves.”

Professor Harry Prosen, former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, called it the “11th-hour breakthrough biological explanation of the human condition necessary for the psychological rehabilitation and transformation of our species.”

Humanity’s Contradiction

Humans are capable of extraordinary empathy, yet history is scarred by conflict and destruction. Alongside our greatest achievements exists a pattern of violence and psychological suffering that Griffith argues science has struggled to explain.

Harvard biologist E. O. Wilson framed this foundational biological challenge starkly: “There is no grail more elusive or precious in the life of the mind than the key to understanding the human condition.” Griffith addresses this monumental deficiency with an explanation that has prompted comparisons to a “Darwin II” moment.

The Instinct Versus Intellect Explanation

Central to Griffith’s work is the relationship between instinct and intellect. He argues that when consciousness emerged approximately two million years ago—associated with significant cranial expansion—it inevitably conflicted with pre-existing instinctive orientations shaped by genetic selection.

While instincts orient behaviour automatically through genetic programming, the conscious intellect must understand and experiment. And so as the intellect began experimenting in self-management, our instinctive orientations resisted these deviations, creating an unavoidable conflict.

Griffith says this conflict generated a deep psychological insecurity, resulting in defensive behaviours—our anger, egocentricity, and alienation. Understanding this conflict removes the need for defensiveness, making psychological rehabilitation possible. As he says, “It brings about the real repair... It fixes the world!”

Academic and Scientific Support

Griffith’s explanation, presented in his book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition, has drawn praise from experts, including:

Professor Stuart Hurlbert, Professor Emeritus of Biology at San Diego State University, wrote that “I am stunned and honoured to have lived to see the coming of ‘Darwin II.'"

Professor Alejo Vidal-Quadras, Spanish nuclear physicist and former Vice-President of the European Parliament, said, “FREEDOM is a really significant contribution to science, providing fundamental answers.”

Professor Scott D. Churchill, former Chair of the Psychology Department at the University of Dallas, described it as “the book all humans need to read for our collective well-being."
