Marblism Reaches 40,000 Business Customers as Demand for AI Employees Grows

The San Francisco startup lets small businesses hire AI employees for sales, operations, and marketing — and says it's just getting started.

-- Marblism has crossed 40,000 business customers in under eight months, a growth rate that reflects surging demand for AI tools built specifically for small and mid-sized businesses, not the enterprise market those tools have historically served.

The company offers something deliberately simple: a roster of AI employees, each with a name and a job. Eva handles the inbox. Rachel answers the calls. Stan runs sales outreach. Sonny owns social media. Penny writes SEO content. Linda fields basic legal queries. The newest hire, Alisson, focuses on closing sales, and Marblism says she has closed more than 2,500 customers since launch.

That framing — AI employees rather than AI tools — is intentional. Most AI platforms on the market are reactive. They wait for a prompt. Marblism's pitch is that its AI workers take initiative, follow up, and execute without being told to. It is a meaningful distinction for a small business owner who does not have time to manage software on top of everything else.

A Platform Built Around the Small Business Operator

The gap Marblism is targeting has been hiding in plain sight. Enterprise platforms like Salesforce Einstein, HubSpot AI, and Intercom are engineered for organizations with IT departments and integration budgets. Most small businesses have neither. Marblism's answer is flat-rate pricing and a setup time of under thirty minutes — requirements, not selling points, for the customers it is going after.

The company pivoted to this model after an earlier product — an AI-powered web application builder — attracted an unexpected audience of small business owners who wanted operational support, not development tools. Marblism followed that signal, built the AI Employees platform in the second half of 2025, and has not looked back.

CEO and founder Ulric Musset put it plainly: "We crossed 40,000 businesses in under 8 months. We launched our first live US event, The AI CEO, which drew strong attendance and community energy. We have also launched into new geographic regions and are currently executing a US national tour, bringing Marblism's vision directly to business owners across the country."

Musset's stated long-term target is to reach 1 million businesses. The company currently holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating onTrustpilot.

Expanding Reach Through Events and New Markets

Marblism has made live events a core part of its growth playbook. At the AI CEO event held at the Tacoma Armory in April 2026, more than 200 business owners watched AI employees get deployed inside their companies in real time — during the event itself. It is a format designed to collapse the distance between seeing the product and using it. Upcoming stops in Dallas and Nashville are already confirmed. The company has also taken the format to London, hosting an event at WeWork City Road.

The event structure is deliberately decentralized. City-based partner organizations handle local promotion, allowing Marblism to expand its footprint without building a field marketing team. It is the same lean, community-driven approach that has powered the company's customer growth.

Geographically, the US remains the core market. Latin America is next, with Mexico identified as the priority for the next twelve months.

A Growing Segment, A Distinct Position

AI adoption among small and medium-sized businesses has accelerated sharply, yet most platforms on the market were built for enterprise organizations. The result is a structural gap at the small-business level — one that only a small number of newer companies are actively building to fill.

Marblism is one of those companies. Whether it can turn early traction into lasting customer retention — and maintain its position as larger platforms increasingly eye the small business market — will be the defining test of its next growth phase.
