Kova Heating & Cooling Expands "Do What's Right" Community Assistance Program Across Oregon and Washington

The ongoing initiative provides HVAC services at no cost to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances while bringing together local trade partners to support community members in need.

-- Kova Heating & Cooling announced the continued expansion of its "Do What's Right" community assistance program, an ongoing initiative that provides heating, cooling, and HVAC-related services at no cost to selected recipients throughout Southwest Washington and the Portland metropolitan area. The program works with local trade partners to identify individuals and families experiencing hardship and deliver essential home comfort solutions that may otherwise be financially out of reach.

Founded in 2019, Kova Heating & Cooling launched the "Do What's Right" initiative as a way to give back to the communities it serves. Through the program, community members can submit requests for themselves or nominate someone they believe is facing challenging circumstances. Applications are reviewed by the Kova team, with recipients selected based on factors such as financial hardship, personal circumstances, household needs, and overall impact.

The program is designed to assist individuals and families who may be struggling with aging HVAC systems, unexpected equipment failures, health-related challenges, or other situations that make maintaining a comfortable and safe home environment difficult.

"Kova Heating & Cooling was built on the belief that businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the communities they serve," said David Kovalev, Owner and Founder of Kova Heating & Cooling. "The 'Do What's Right' program gives us an opportunity to help people who may be facing circumstances beyond their control. We have been fortunate to work with customers throughout Oregon and Washington, and this initiative allows us to give back in a meaningful way."

Since its launch, the program has completed multiple projects for local residents. One recent recipient, Lori, was selected after her story highlighted a significant need for HVAC assistance. Through the combined efforts of Kova Heating & Cooling and participating trade partners, services were provided at no cost to help improve the comfort and functionality of her home.

A key component of the initiative is collaboration with other local businesses. Kova Heating & Cooling regularly invites contractors and trade professionals to participate by donating labor, materials, expertise, or related services when appropriate. According to the company, these partnerships help maximize the impact of each project while encouraging community involvement across multiple industries.

Among the organizations that have contributed to recent projects are Northwest Breeze and Keystone Electric, both of which have supported efforts to assist selected recipients through donated services and trade expertise.

In addition to supporting individual households, the initiative aims to raise awareness about the challenges some community members face when critical home systems fail unexpectedly. Heating and cooling equipment plays an important role in maintaining comfort, safety, and indoor air quality throughout the year, particularly during periods of extreme weather.

The company plans to continue accepting nominations and evaluating requests on an ongoing basis. Both self-nominations and nominations submitted on behalf of friends, family members, neighbors, or community members are considered through the review process.

Kova Heating & Cooling states that future projects will continue to focus on providing assistance where it can make the greatest impact while encouraging collaboration among local businesses that share a commitment to community support.
