-- KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — JETOUR launched the T2 i-DM in Malaysia on Sept. 19, linking the plug-in hybrid SUV’s local debut with Malaysian culture, sports and travel lifestyles as part of its “Travel+” strategy.

The T2 i-DM is designed for a range of scenarios, from urban commuting and family trips to outdoor exploration. Its intelligent hybrid system can match different power modes to driving conditions, while its vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, with an output of up to 3.3 kilowatts, provides power for activities such as camping and outdoor gatherings.

For JETOUR, hybrid technology is intended to support everyday mobility while connecting the vehicle with a wider range of travel experiences.

Beyond the product launch, JETOUR is also developing partnerships around travel and outdoor activities in Malaysia.

During the event, JETOUR formally signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with Malaysia Marathon for cooperation from 2027 to 2029, with the signing witnessed by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia. The partnership is intended to further connect JETOUR with Malaysia’s travel culture and outdoor lifestyle.

The automaker has also established owner clubs in Malaysia, with activities including vehicle convoys and other events that allow owners to participate in travel-related activities with the brand.

“JETOUR hopes to bring owners, travelers, and more partners together, as we can discover the beauty and protect it for tomorrow,” said Ke Chuandeng, President of JETOUR International.

JETOUR is also working with Tourism Malaysia to co-create a travel-themed film as part of Visit Malaysia 2026. The film features local natural landscapes and cultural diversity through real travel experiences, bringing together the vehicle, its users and destinations.

The company is also linking travel with environmental conservation. JETOUR is working with the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia and PULIHARA on the protection of freshwater turtles, sea turtles and their habitats. Representatives of the two organizations have also been appointed as “JETOUR Travel Ambassadors.”

The Sarong Music Run, which combines traditional attire, music, sports and public participation, provided a local setting for JETOUR to bring its “Travel+” concept closer to Malaysian consumers. JETOUR served as an official automotive partner of the event, with about 100 vehicles joining an owner convoy.

On the evening of the event, JETOUR staged a drone light show over the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur featuring the “TRAVEL WITH JETOUR” travel theme, celebrating the conclusion of the Sarong Music Run and building anticipation for the 2026 JETOUR Travel Season and World Tourism Day. The display echoed the Visit Malaysia 2026 tourism campaign, incorporated local Malaysian travel elements, and conveyed the “Travel+” spirit to audiences in Malaysia and around the world.

JETOUR currently operates in more than 100 markets and says it has connected with more than 2.51 million users globally.

From the T2 i-DM launch to partnerships involving sports, tourism, owners and environmental conservation, JETOUR is developing its “Travel+” approach in Malaysia through a combination of products and local activities.
