Ho'omau Endurance relaunches Vegas In 24 as a four-route ultra-cycling challenge on October 24. Founder Andy Funk rides a new 346-mile Phoenix route to Las Vegas, joining courses from Los Angeles, San Diego and Reno. Each demands an unsupported 24-hour Mojave finish.

-- On the 10th anniversary of the original Vegas In 24 cycling challenge, Ho'omau Endurance Co, the endurance sports platform founded by athlete and serial entrepreneur Andy Funk, has announced the re-launch of Vegas In 24 as an epic four-route ultra-cycling circuit.

Touted as the world's toughest one-day cycling event, Ho'omau also confirmed that Funk will ride the brand-new 346-mile Phoenix route – aka “The Bullet” – to Las Vegas on Saturday, October 24. Other Vegas In 24 routes include Los Angeles (365 miles), San Diego (400 miles) and Reno (448 miles), each ending at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, and each requiring to Beat The Mojave in 24 hours or less without outside support, assistance or drafting.

Funk first rode Vegas In 24 in 2016, covering 365 miles from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 20:41 hours as a charity effort. The 2026 event marks a new beginning for conquering the Mojave by bike and turns the original ride into an open, four-route challenge for any endurance athlete who dares to try.

“Victory in the Mojave is won months before you clip into your pedals. Beyond the relentless training, your rest stop strategy, route logistics, safety assessments, equipment choices, crew selection and analysis of all variables will be the difference between a DNF, a successful finish, and ultimately – the Vegas In 24 Hall of Fame,” Funk said.

Built on top of a global athlete community, and integrating all endurance sports into a single platform, Ho'omau organizes its work into five sections: Explore, Train, Test, Race and Connect.

Beyond its club, training camps, online endurance games, Race-Ready Kitchen and Enduropedia glossary, the platform lets athletes build custom indoor workouts in Ho'omau's Zwift Lab, book laboratory biomarker testing through BioEdge Direct, reserve race-week accommodation near major start lines through RacePoint HQ, and assess age-group world championship qualifying metrics via Qualislot.

“Vegas In 24 is our flagship event for 2026, ahead of launching our 2027 Sub-10 Challenge with $100K on the line for age-group triathletes who break the 10-hour barrier for the first time,” Funk said. “We are also very much looking forward to the release of our full Qualislot age-group qualification system next year.”

The Ho'omau platform launched in 2026. It currently runs in English, German and Spanish, and will soon be published for French-speaking endurance enthusiasts.

The 2026 Vegas In 24 announcement is being shared on the Ho'omau Endurance YouTube channel, and riders can find route, event, rules and signup information on the Ho’omau website or at vegasin24.com.
