In 2005, Bob, along with his wife Anne, founded a non-profit organization, Common Courtesy, Inc. The Common Courtesy project's mission is to provide safe and dependable “alternative automobile personal transportation” to support anyone who cannot or should not operate a vehicle. The project has now become widely available through partnerships with ride-sharing companies such as Uber and Lyft.
